What’s big in 2013?

If you don’t seem to hear anything apart from Big Data (see Wikipedia Entry here) and how big it’s going to be this year, then you’ll be pleasantly surprised to hear that in 2013 it’s not the only thing that’s predicted to do well this year.

Forrester is predicting that SaaS (Software as a Service) as the major growth engines for the worldwide software development market. Good news for E-Commerce SaaS providers like Venda and Demandware. Big data sneaks in again with this prediction as they also predict that data-driven smart apps will also be a major growth contributor.

They predict that the global SaaS market will grow by 25% to $59 billion, in 2014 they predict it will be worth a staggering $75 billion.  The term ‘smart computing’ allows direct access to data for decision making. It includes business intelligence and data analytics in this category.

According to Forrester, these smart-process apps overlap with SaaS products

“because the browser-based access model for SaaS products works better for collaboration among internal and external participants than behind-the-firewall deployments.”

These smart computing products, like SaaS are growing far faster than the software market as a whole.

While researching for this article I ran into some information on a health supplement that was very highly rated. I took a look into and it was pretty convincing, so I ordered it. I’m very pleasantly surprised by the results, it is very effective. I highly recommend.
